Everybody is free (to wear sunscreen)

I stumbled upon this video and little did I know it was quite famous. The essay titled Everybody is free (to wear sunscreen) was originally written by Mary Schmich as a mock graduation speech for The Chicago Tribune in 1997. However, it rapidly gained popularity and even became a hit pop song. The message is nothing new, but it is sure to make you think.

Here are a few of my favorite phrases:

-"Do one thing every day that scares you."

-"Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard. Live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft."
-"Keep your old love letters. Throw away your old bank statements."

Please watch and be inspired :)

Life as of today

To say a lot has happened in my life since the last time I posted something is quite an understatement.

After 7 long years, I made the 20-hour trip back to my homeland, Chile.
An incredible amount of hugging, kissing, rejoicing, happy crying and undoubtedly, catching up was involved.

Taken by my mom at the Concepcion Airport.

Also, I got my first "real" job! It's nothing fancy (retail) but honestly, I'm just so happy to be employed at all.

And last but not least... I AM GOING BACK TO COLLEGE! Can't wait till winter semester rolls around and Justin and I are college students once again, but this time together. Maybe he'll be my study buddy? Who knows... ;)

I'm a happy girl :)
